Rider & Motorcycle Standards
The Kawasaki Race Team is committed to representing the Kawasaki brand with professionalism, sportsmanship, and pride. Every rider selected for the team serves as an ambassador for Kawasaki's performance heritage, both on and off the track. As such, all riders and motorcycles are expected to meet a high standard of presentation, preparation, and conduct.
To be considered for the team, riders must be at least 18 years of age and demonstrate sufficient experience riding larger-displacement motorcycles. Previous experience with high-performance or supersport motorcycles is highly desirable, as the machines used by the team demand advanced riding skills and a thorough understanding of motorcycle dynamics.
In addition to riding ability, all riders must be considered mentally mature, responsible, and capable of making sound decisions under pressure. Motorsport places significant physical and mental demands on competitors, therefore riders must also be physically capable of safely manoeuvring, controlling, and operating their motorcycle both on the circuit and within the paddock environment.
Every rider is expected to display good sportsmanship, respect towards officials, competitors, spectators, and fellow team members, and uphold the reputation of both the Kawasaki Race Team and the Kawasaki brand at all times.
Must hold a valid and active Kawasaki Club (ci) membership
Motorcycle Requirements
As a dedicated Kawasaki racing team, every motorcycle entered under the team banner must be manufactured by Kawasaki. Machines should reflect the quality and performance associated with the brand, presenting a professional image wherever the team competes.
All motorcycles must be mechanically sound, thoroughly maintained, and fully compliant with the technical regulations of the events in which they compete. Any faults or defects capable of affecting performance or safety must be rectified before the motorcycle is permitted to race.
The overall presentation of each motorcycle is equally important. Bikes should be clean, well-maintained, and free from excessive corrosion, significant cosmetic damage, or poorly repaired bodywork. Every motorcycle should contribute to a professional paddock presence that reflects positively on both the team and Kawasaki.
The team generally favours modern, streamlined Kawasaki performance motorcycles, such as the 2015-onwards Ninja ZX-10R, along with other contemporary Ninja models. However, exceptional motorcycles that showcase Kawasaki's engineering excellence or racing heritage may be accepted at the discretion of the Team Management.
Every motorcycle carrying the Kawasaki Race Team name represents not only its rider, but also the legacy of one of the world's most successful motorcycle manufacturers. Our aim is to present a team that demonstrates the very best of Kawasaki engineering, performance, and racing heritage while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and appearance.
